Random Poem:

Ode To The Church Body (or "from an admirer")
Doulos

I break His bones
 1
Couldn't then
 2
but patience is my only virtue
 3
they break slowly, only slowly
 4
under vice
 5
they snap and crack
 6

A pleasing duality
 7
His body and word
 8
one: the spine shatters loudly
 9
the other: the spine is never broken
 10
(and the pages never turned)
 11

My club
 12
never meets His double edge,
 13
but aims for the ribs, hips, feet and hands
 14

In time
 15
His fire will consume
 16
the void, my home, a thousand years of darkness
 17
but now, under my reigning blows
 18
His body lies.
