I'm not torn up enough to convey

all it is that I was meant to say.

I can never let it out.

No driving force,

except nervous energy,

lighting my face with

     skirmishes and frenzy.

And you watch my hands

  as they tremble and work

playing at nothing

conveying the nothing

that lives here

not even anymore.

but she's never been true
