Random Poem:

oh angst ridden rain.
_fallenleaf

let me wait a while longer
 1
for your hands to capture my worry and
 2
bury it far beneath
 3
the cavernous ridges of my muddied footprints.
 4

 5
Only suppressed, not erased.
 6

 7
How I have longed to contemplate those palms
 8
and peer into the deepness I wish existed.
 9

 10
As the sky opens, limpid pools surface
 11
in the prelude to this long-praised dance
 12
of moisture.
 13
Drops cascade down my cheeks
 14
and fall against waiting fingers.
 15
Attempts to find meaning within each droplet
 16
flood my conciousness.
 17
A half-hearted desire to see a reflection of
 18
this great expanse, this world among stars.
 19

 20
My wet eyes were born of clouds, not of sorrow.
 21
You will not recognize this,
 22
and I prefer it so.
 23

 24
Perhaps these hands are now besieged
 25
by business cards and
 26
letters containing hollow messages,
 27
diluted from overuse.
 28
No one listens.
 29
Perhaps you only forgot.
 30
Just let me see the light before I go.
