Random Poem:

The Lying Eyes part 1
jyce

Gather 'round my children
 1
and listen to a tale once lost
 2
of a man who knew deception
 3
until his mind it cost.
 4

Awakening one morning,
 5
though not so he thought,
 6
began the visions of liars
 7
in the people that he sought.
 8

Their faces would crack open
 9
and did manifest were words-
 10
the songs their minds were bleeding
 11
said things he thought absurd.
 12

'Surely, this is just a dream.'
 13
He couldn't be more wrong
 14
'If my friends were evil,
 15
I'd known it all along.
 16

I've known them all for ages.
 17
They wouldn't lie to me.'
 18
But their eyes would sink him
 19
into perplexity.
 20

He thought of forgiving them
 21
or regard them with disdain.
 22
But this much mutual hatred
 23
would drive anyone insane.
 24

He cut them from his presence
 25
and hid himself away,
 26
never to be seen again
 27
until a fated day.
 28

Till then he stayed in shadow,
 29
in his sanctum, out of sight.
 30
He spasmed in his anger.
 31
He winced away from light.
 32

Till then he dreamed of vengeance,
 33
violence, death and such.
 34
Talked and walked around, dreaming
 35
but never sleeping much.
