turbulence
unknown

As they left the turbulence behind

the clouds became sparse leaving  
 2
grids of smouldering embers
 3
to compete for his attention.  
 4
    
 5
As each randomly faded into
 6
the night he recalled all the
 7
loved ones who had departed
 8
this year. And when all was
 9
black he made a futile appeal
 10
to the cosmos for a sign of relief.
