Random Poem:

Silence
sisalik

It’s quiet.
 1
So quiet.
 2
No rustle, no movement,
 3
No sound at all.
 4

I looked for a reason,
 5
A pattern, an answer,
 6
An escape from disorder
 7
I called and called,
 8
And cried
 9
For so long.
 10

No echo,
 11
No sound.
 12
It’s quiet.
 13
So quiet.
 14

Why do they all go away?
 15
I searched for them,
 16
Gathered them,
 17
From the holes in the rocks.
 18
They grew up like tender shoots.
 19
They gave me a reason.
 20
They were the answer.
 21
Then they went away.
 22
I was changed.
 23
Was it for me?
 24
Or them?
 25
Why did they go away?
 26

The old man is always standing behind them,
 27
Whispering some nonsense.
 28
And for some reason they listen.
 29

And the one, so simple-minded,
 30
But true,
 31
Cut down in his prime.
 32

Why do they all go away?
 33
It’s quiet.
