If you have never heard the story of little boy blue | 1 |
Please take a seat and I will explain it to you | 2 |
You see little boy blue had a name at one point and time | 3 |
But through the days week’s months and years it seems to have slipped our minds | 4 |
You see not many cared about little boy blue, not because of anything he’s done | 5 |
He has never known a real life of playing going out and having fun | 6 |
Little boy blue lead a different life though many may no comprehend | 7 |
But he would try to mimic the lives of others he said he could always pretend | 8 |
Little boy blue what happen to you, you feel down the steps today | 9 |
And the bruises on your arm the steps did the harm are you sure that your ok | 10 |
He smiled and nodded and said he’d be ok | 11 |
Then whisper that he had played dangerously that day | 12 |
I smiled back and said be careful from this point on | 13 |
He looked at me face full of glee and said he word was sworn | 14 |
Little boy blue what happen to you how did you get that burn? | 15 |
Looking at me frightfully and said it was none of my concern | 16 |
Perhaps he needed space so I didn’t say another word | 17 |
And when you described a painting that he had drawn he said he wished to be free as the bird | 18 |
Little boy blue what ever do you mean please explain to me | 19 |
He left the room as depressed as he had come and uttered just let me be | 20 |
Little boy blue what happen to you why are you all covered up | 21 |
And what is that wait come closer on your face is that make-up | 22 |
Little boy blue who did this to you, you can tell me I’m your friend | 23 |
Looking at me he just said leave me alone all I want is to pretend | 24 |
Little boy blue what happen to you I have not seen you in so long | 25 |
You have not come to see me I hope nothing is wrong | 26 |
Little boy blue what happen to you last night you were in my dreams | 27 |
And even as I awoke in my head I could still hear your screams | 28 |
Little boy blue what happen to you I finally heard when you cried | 29 |
But I was much too late for little boy blue you see little boy blue had died | 30 |
And that’s the story of little boy blue and I only left out one fact | 31 |
In my dream he said he never told me because he wanted to make an impact | 32 |
I’ve had this dream time and time again and he uses this as an excuse | 33 |
He told I am to write it down to help stop child abuse. | 34 |
