a coffee can	8
for the girlfriend	9
and newborn daughter	10
of the twenty year old	11
kid	12
who was stabbed and	13
died	14
in this same parking lot	15
three days ago	16
after a fight	17
in the bar.	18

the dead kid's dad	19
leads the group,	20
he is sure	21
a black did it	22
and if the cops	23
don't find who	24
he damn sure will.	25

i saw the kid	26
that night,	27
watched him	28
go in and out of the bathroom	29
to smoke meth and	30
pushing his luck	31
past the edge of reason	32
with a hispanic woman	33
who was spoken for.	34

tragedy, tragedy	35
they murmur	36
