90 Degrees and Raining Hard
X

As intangible memories bubble from my mind I recollect your bubbly laugh, and a shearing spear of realization bursts all suds within a heartfelt radius.

The shape of your laughter transforms my emotions like a kaleidoscope, but now my life (the kaleidoscope), is broken. You, the kooky neon colored pieces, are stuck to a cylinder of null.

Sometimes I think the sun begins to lower outside, but it's just you getting a little sleepy and letting those playfully creative eyes sag a bit. Comforting warmth still whisps around until you sleep (then there's a soothing aura of relaxation that mingles with toothpaste-taste and a good book).

Other times I watch a funny program, and I laugh out loud, but never until I'm near tears like when you were around. I make a mental note to tell you about the show.... then I can't. You're gone.

Sometimes when it's 90 degrees out, rain still pours.
