Random Poem:

On Moving to Boston
nostalgical

i started smoking to look East Coast
 1
like this hipster in my political science class.
 2
he smokes and wears a beret, too.
 3

he gives me a light after class,
 4
walking down Forsyth Street
 5
every monday and thursday.
 6
and sometimes i wonder if
 7
he started wearing the beret
 8
to complement the smoking,
 9
or if he started smoking
 10
to complement the beret.
 11

i have to stop myself from asking
 12
while we light up.
 13
(he would hear my voice and know
 14
that i'm Midwest.)
 15

it's meaningless though:
 16
i'm going to quit smoking tomorrow,
 17
and maybe buy a beret.
